MicroPlush Mat Cleaning Instructions:
MicroPlush mats can be cleaned either through commercial laundering (refer to specific laundering instructions) or by following these steps:
1. Vacuuming
1.Frequency:
- High-Traffic Areas: Daily vacuuming is recommended.
- Less Frequented Areas: Weekly vacuuming is sufficient.
2.Extraction or Hosing
- Use extraction or hose off the mat as necessary to remove significant soil and debris.
3.Drying
- Hang the mat to dry thoroughly.
Important: Ensure the mat is completely dry before returning it to use.
Commercial Laundering for MicroPlush Mats with Nitrile Rubber Backing
MicroPlush mats with nitrile rubber backing can be effectively cleaned through commercial laundering. Proper laundering helps extend the mat’s lifespan by preventing the accumulation of soil and soap residue.
For mats with heavy soil, increase the water temperature to a maximum of 140°F (60°C). Ensure that the pH during the break phase does not exceed 9.5, and use low pH non-ionic detergents.
4.Laundering Process
Flush:
- 2-3 minutes with medium water level at 120°F (49°C).
Optional Flush:
- 2-3 minutes with medium water level at 120°F (49°C).
Break:
- 2-3 minutes with high water level at 120°F (49°C).
Rinse:
- 2 minutes with high water level, cold water.
Rinse:
- 2 minutes with high water level, cold water.
Extract:
- 1-2 minutes at low speed.
Shake Out:
- 1 minute (rotate wheel at wash speed with the drain open).
Extract:
- 3-5 minutes at low speed.
Dry:
- 5-10 minutes at a basket temperature of 180°F (82°C).
Cool Down:
5.Post-Laundering Care
Cooling:
- After washing or drying, lay the mats flat to cool before rolling them up.
Avoid Over-Drying:
- The dryer basket temperature should not exceed 180°F (82°C). If the mats are not fully dried, you may increase the final rinse temperature to 140°F (60°C) to minimize moisture retention after extraction.
